Vocation Stories

"Make your life a Mission. not an Intermission" (Arnold Glasgow) When the Cross of Christ was the attraction, I wanted nothing else. "I will go anywhere, provided it be forward" was my determination. A Mission Sister is nothing else but a Missionary for Christ.

My call to religious life is a blessing. I had a deep desire to seek Jesus in all my endeavors. I responded to His call by joining the Mission Sisters of Ajmer. I found Jesus as my beloved and now I share his love with all people.

My call to religious life is a blessing. I had a deep desire to seek Jesus in all my endeavors. I responded to His call by joining the Mission Sisters of Ajmer. I found Jesus as my beloved and now I share his love with all people.God has His ways and His time is always perfect. I came across St. Ignatius of Loyola’s words to St. Francis Xavier, “What if a man gains the whole world but loses his soul.” Confused with this sign from God, I prayed, “What would you want me to do? Do I really have a vocation to serve as a religious?” I started to spend more time in silence and solitude; my request to join the ‘Come and See’ Programme was welcomed. When I look back today, I see God’s plan unfolding in its perfect time.

I am a Nurse by Profession. The seed of my vocation was planted by my loving and caring parents. From a young age, there was an inner desire to be a nun. Everything else seemed meaningless. Sr. Gloria SSPS was a source of inspiration to me. She helped me to discern my vocation. With the help of my parents and the Mission Sisters of Ajmer who visited me, I was inspired to joined them. Today I am happy Mission Sister.
